Good health is just a matter of taking a new approach to eating and making simple changes.

To complete this How-To you will need:

Cooking facilities
A shopping list
Healthy Foods
Breakfast
Healthy snacks
Water
Books (optional)
Internet access (optional)

Step 1: Cook your own meals

Cook and prepare your own meals as often as you can. This will help you avoid eating processed and fast foods, which are higher in sodium and fat.

Tip: Healthy, low-fat recipes and guidance are available in bookstores and on the internet.

Step 2: Make a shopping list

Plan healthy meals and make a shopping list. Fill your cart with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole-grain foods, and lean meats.

Step 3: Read nutrition labels

Read nutrition labels. Pay attention to saturated fat, sodium, and sugar. The higher their numbers, the unhealthier they are.

Step 4: Eat breakfast

Eat breakfast every day. Breakfast helps to rev up your metabolism. Make it a habit to eat something within the first hour after you wake up.

Step 5: Eat every three to four hours

Try to eat small meals every three to four hours. Aim for three small, balanced meals and two snacks.

Step 6: Drink plenty of water

Drink plenty of water every day. Water hydrates the body and aids the digestive system. And it’s calorie-free!

Step 7: Feel the difference

Feel the difference in your body — more energy and stamina — as well as sharper thinking as you feed your body healthy foods.

Dan and I have been huge fans of the EpicMealTime YouTube channel for a while now. We love their videos…but unfortunately, we can’t eat bacon covered chocolate cake or any of the other food they cook.

So we decided to make a parody of Epic Meal Time…showing how we make our meals using the Zero Willpower Eating System.

ABOUT THE ZERO WILLPOWER EATING SYSTEM:

Partnership kicks off with Thanksgiving meals distributed to the Glades area community

(Belle Glade, Fla) Kettle Comfort celebrated its official début this Thanksgiving Day. Palm Beach County Sherriff’s office partnered with the organization offering hundreds of needy families a nutritious gourmet meal. The celebration took place at Lake Shore Park and welcomed everyone in the Glades area community. Bus transportation for those in remote areas was provided by the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s office.

Tim Gannon, founder of Kettle Comfort, and the County Sherriff’s office gathered over 30 volunteers to donate their time for this great cause, many of whom brought their children to assist. “I am thrilled to see how many friends were eager to make a difference, turning a special family day in to a family work day. This is the first of several we will be hosting this season,” said Tim Gannon

Notables attending the event included Belle Glade Mayor Steve Wilson, Chief Deputy Michael Gauger, Assistant City Manager Beverly Scott. Volunteers included Crystal Casey, Kathleen Gannon, Ashley and Jeannie Vanmetre, Rusty and Emma Holzer, Irene Goit, Paul Cerullo, Renelda Mack, Alex Stevens and Alexis Posada.

0 Impact of Fresh Healthy Foods on Learning and BehaviorFor 18 years, Paul and Barbara Stitt worked to provide fresh nutritional foods in hundreds of classrooms in WI, IL and MN resulting in positive results reported each school year. For 14 years in August, they sponsored a two-day training seminar to guide teachers, parents and other professionals on how to teach and provide good nutrition and good health to students.

In 1997 they were invited to come into the Appleton, WI Alternative School. They installed a kitchen with two cooks trained in how to purchase, prepare and serve fresh whole foods. They underwrote the program for 5 years. With nothing else being changed, results were so positive that, within a year, the superintendent and school board required their food service to provide healthier foods for the entire school district of 15,000 students.
